Equipment:

Players will need to have all the required protective equipment in order to go out on the ice. This includes:

  • CSA-approved hockey helmet
  • Ringette cage (NOT a hockey face mask)
  • Neck guard (BNQ approved)
  • Shoulder/chest pads
  • Elbow pads
  • Shin guards
  • Hockey skates (not figure skates)
  • Either hockey pants & socks or a ringette girdle & pants
  • Ringette stick
  • Jersey (a Timbits jersey will be provided in the coming weeks)

Many of these items can be found used on VarageSale or at consignment stores like Rusty Kats (in Tsawwassen). Ringette Cages can usually be found at Cyclone Taylor (in Richmond Ice Centre) or sometimes at Pro Hockey Life.  The proper Ringetter cage has a triangle pattern, while the hockey cages are a square pattern.
